Here it is. The moment you’ve been waiting for. These are the results of our !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! The Race

Here are the replays in case you missed the race. It was long and tiring, but it was also a lot of fun. We lost a few people along the way, but endurance racing is not without its casualties (Verizon needs to get their shit together before they shrek themselves).

Results

Here are the results by class. I’m still missing a few pictures of some of the cars (screw the Fourza servers), so if you have a picture of your car, send it my way. Also, I’m going to give either your gamertag or you kinja name, whichever I remember first. If you want both up there, let me know.

LMP

1st: SVTyler, Aston Martin Lola

2nd: RoboRed, Acura ARX-02a

3rd: GoatBird, BMW V12 LMR

4th: SSn 762, Audi R15 TDI

5th: Corey CC97, Honda Lola, DNF (Pastor Maldonado’d off track after blowing a tranny hard in Indianapolis because of amateur tendencies, the VTEC kicking in too hard, and not double clutching like I should. This was due in no small part to Verizon who was blowing an actual tranny at the time because they suck and I hate them.)

6th: TheVancen, Panoz LMP-01, DNF (A moose ran onto the track, spilling nearby barrels of maple syrup. Unable to avoid the moose due to the stickiness of the syrup, the Panoz turned the moose and itself into Canadian Bacon. Afterwards, the Canadian national anthem was played patriotically.)

1st: Parlock3, Audi R8 GT3

2nd: FearlessTSwift, BMW M3 GT2

3rd: Cherry man 1, Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 GT3

4th: JA 37 Viggen, Aston Martin DBR9

5th: Tareim, Subaru Impreza GT300

6th: Mattbob, BMW M3 GT2

7th, ferrariguy357, Ferrari 458 GT2, DNF (Started a mildly successful barbecue business at the entrance of the Ford Chicanes mid race using the charred and still burning remains of the engine as a grill and smoker.)

The Trophies

Since SVTyler was the big superstar winrar, he gets an expertly made, high quality, and extremely illustrious trophy. Congratulations on your success! Lol jk I wanted you to crash and burn.

And for finishing first in GT, Parlock gets a trophy as well! Congratulations for helping Audi redeem themselves!

Final Thoughts

Despite some internet problems along the way, I think this race was a huge success. Even though I didn’t finish, I enjoyed it more than the race at Le Mans last year. The different classes really added to the race and made it more exciting. The Twitch stream was also a big hit. We had like 250 people watching at one point, and they were also making great comments (and occasional death threats). Hopefully this whole event generated more interest for our regular racing series, the next of which will be decided upon soon.

Congrats to everyone who raced, regardless of position. It was a great race, and I’m looking forward to next year’s, which may or may not be in Forza 6. I better start practicing. I’ve been told that I’m an amateur.

A few highlights I remember:

I managed to Orlove an LMP car without hitting anything... About 40 minutes into the race (or maybe it was 40 minutes to go?) you can hear me talking about it, sort of. (Either my mic is quiet or I’m quiet)
I let the back slide out on Indianapolis and caught the unnaturally sticky sand while going sideways at around 120mph. So, the car decided to throw itself over twice.

Tareim also Orloved, I believe. It was a lot later than mine, and we were the only two to do it. Or at least the only ones to admit it. I think he hit a curb and then a wall, which is always a great thing to do in a race car and you should try it sometime.

SSN seemed to have some trouble controlling his car at times, and it might have been due to lag, but I saw him launching it up into the air a few times. It was actually really impressive.

At one point very late in the race, I came across the two GT BMWs just as one was pile-driving into the butt of the other. So I threw my own car into the wall in a panic, and if this was real life, all three BMWs would have been retired right then and there.

I humbly suggest doing the exact same thing for one hour at Road Atlanta in early October to kick off the Forza 6 stuff. We can do it across both 4 and 6 and compare all the times over both games, in order to get more people involved.
Only problem I can see with that would be the fact that the track is only 1/4 the size of this one and arguably a lot more difficult to stay on. So multiclass might be a bit too chaotic.

I would just like to say that drag tires suck when you’re turning into Arnage. Or going through the Porsche Curves. Or Dunlop. No issues going into Indy though!

Hope we can have one final endurance event in GTs or multiclass before the switch to Forza 6 as a send off.

Nope. The only replay I could get to download was from Fearless, and he doesn’t have all the DLC. So your car was a Jetta on the replay I have.
